The Story

The first mention of the band we could find was in early 1964 when they were still a part-time local outfit. The line-up was listed as Jimmy Johnston (trombone), Maurice Beckett (trumpet), Tom Beckett (sax), Jim "Ricky" Curry (guitar), Joan Bell (vocals),  Jim Lockhart (bass), and Junior Campbell (drums). The band had recently returned from Liverpool, where they had played
