Transit Showband in 1969

Tom Foley writes to tell us the band was formed to tour American bases in Spain and the Azores.
This photo shows the band during auditions and includes Tom Foley (sax), Brendan Brophy (trombone),
Mick Connolly (bass), Harvey Roche (trumpet) and Des Hurley (vocals) (brother of Red).
John Egan writes to tell us the final lineup of the band was: 
Frank O'Neill (sax), Rickey Keown (guitar), John Carroll (drums), Mick Connolly (bass), John Egan (keyboards),
Des Hurley (vocals) and Harvey Roach (trumpet). 
The band changed its name to the Palms Showband in early 1969 - Spotlight, March 8, 1969.
