Like so many hotel across Ireland, the Annaly ran dances initially to supplement income during the winter months when tourists were scarce.
It ran dances for many years and was purchased by Jim Reynolds (brother of Albert and half of the famous Reynolds brothers team).
In 2006, the hotel closed and has been for sale for many years. In 2016 there were some interested parties but before his death Jim
went to the High Court to block the sale, but he owned millions to the banks. As far as we know, the hotel still lies empty.
