Based on newspaper archives, the first mention of the Belgard Inn we have found was in 1973 when they
advertised for bar staff for the Tallagh pub. The pub was purchased by German supermarket chain Lidl around
2014 when they received permission top demolish the premises to make way for a new store. Final drink were
served in March 2018, bring an end to the Belgard's 45 year history as a center for entertainment.  Our thanks to Eamonn Murphy
