The Borderland Ballroom in Muff, opened by the McIvors with a blaze of publicity on December 15th, 1954. The opening band was
The Flying Carlton Showband. This great photo of this classic Donegal ballroom was taken in 1962/3 and contributed by Liam O'Reilly
and his brother. Today it is an outlet store (photo below from Google Earth). The drawing at the bottom of the page here
was included in adverts for the ballroom's opening in 1954.
