Mount Brandon Hotel, Tralee, Co. Kerry

Opened on April 21st, 1966, the Mount Brandon Hotel (as it was then known) was a major dancing venue through the late 60's
and early 70's. It was reported that the hotel cost £300,000 (approx €5 milli0on in 2020 Euros) to build.
 At one point it was the centre of a controversy as they had booked Hollywood actress, Jayne Mansfield to
perform which was condemned by the local church. Like many of the hotels of the era, it has been updated and rebranded
and is now known as the Brandon Hotel.
