The Gap Ballroom, Mullinaslin, Omagh, Co. Tyrone

The Gap Ballroom opened its doors on August 23rd, 1960 to the sounds of the Capitol Showband from Galway.
Owned by Frank Nugent, it featured a 3,500 sq ft. dance floors it was, at the time, one of the largest ballrooms
in the northern part of the country. We were in formed by one of our community members that the ballroom
is now being used as an Ironmongers. Below is a photo of the Gap Ballroom today.
